We launched the first estate agency website in Guernsey and this, it’s sixth generation, continues our innovative approach to selling and letting property.
Two of the founding company directors, Matt Brouard and Ross Le Marquand were joined on the board in 2014 by Cathy Gallienne, Cathy having progressed through the company from sales negotiator to Company Associate. They are assisted by Karen Crawford who is a share holding Company Associate. Between them they manage our highly experienced and enthusiastic team of negotiators, marketing and office staff to ensure clients receive a consistently high level of service with great continuity.

Matt has over 30 years’ experience in Guernsey property, having spent 10 years with a long established firm prior to founding Cooper Brouard 1996. As well as heading the Local Market team, he gets involved in almost every other aspect of the running of the company but still loves to make a sale and keep vendors and purchasers happy.
To relax Matt enjoys holidays with his wife Liz, keeping in touch with his two grown up children, as much golf as time allows, yoga, reading, music, crosswords and keeping the garden tidy.
One of the founding partners Ross, who heads our Open Market Department, has been selling houses in Guernsey for over 30 years and has an encyclopedic knowledge of the workings of the Open Market.
Despite long working hours, Ross is a dedicated family man to his wife Debbie and two children and still finds time to be a passionate golfer, all-round boating enthusiast and practice his love of the Spanish language . He is a keen political and economic spectator and is always willing to discuss property matters and industry dynamics.
Cathy joined Cooper Brouard as a sales negotiator in 2002 having had 4 years estate agency experience in Guernsey and Bath. She became a Company Associate in 2008 and was appointed to the board of directors in 2014.
Cathy is married to Scott and has four lovely children, Isabelle, Lily-Mae, Indi and Zak. An ardent Arsenal supporter she enjoys the lively banter in the office after her team has played. Cathy and Scott are the founder members for the Cooper Brouard chosen charity Friends of Frossard Children’s ward which has already raised tens of thousands of pounds to make children and parents stay in hospital more comfortable. Cathy heads the Rental Team whilst also supporting the local market sales team, her drive and enthusiasm makes her a force to be reckoned with and a popular member of staff.
Karen has over 20 years experience in the Open Market sector and has been a key member of the Cooper Brouard Team since 2000. Her passion and extensive knowledge of all things Open Market, together with her sunny disposition have proved a winning formula and she regularly receives praise from vendors and applicants for her professional service.
Karen is a Founder member of The TT Club, a group of friends who since 2002 have raised over £10,000 for their chosen charity Alzheimers/Dementia. Karen was instrumental in getting a much needed car for the residents of Maison de Quetteville with the support of Cooper Brouard.
When she is not doting on her grandchild Sonny, Karen and her fiancé Darren enjoy travelling and dining out.
James joined Cooper Brouard in 2019 having gained extensive property experience with another agency in Open and Local Market residential management, and at a local utilities provider.
James has a passion for customer service and delivering results, which is vital in the fast moving environment of Open Market property sales. His role is diverse, and with his interest in commercial property, no days’ work is the same and he loves being part of the Cooper Brouard team.
In his spare time James is a keen footballer and coach at Sylvans SC; he also endures the torture that being a Newcastle Utd fan can bring. Off the pitch he enjoys the gym, running and socialising with friends and family.
Having gained a degree in Real Estate Management from Oxford Brookes University, Sophie returned to the island and commenced work with another agent before joining Cooper Brouard's dynamic Local Market Team in 2006.
Sophie enjoys the fast pace of working in a lively and competitive environment, together with the fact that no two days are the the same. She has built up a wide knowledge of Guernsey residential property so vendors can rely on her sound advice and skilled and enthusiastic approach to marketing, and buyers will appreciate her efficient and cheerful demeanor.
Married to Andrew in 2018, Sophie enjoys her home life along with her 2 cats, gardening, walking, reading, gym sessions and travelling.
Kate joined Cooper Brouard as a negotiator in 2010 bringing a broad knowledge of property having worked in management and sales at another local agency for three years and in conveyancing for three years with a leading firm of local advocates.
Kate is married to Ryan, mum to Jake and Archie and is expecting another child in June so will be on maternity leave until the end of 2019. When she has time she still likes to keep fit and enjoys running, has completed several half marathons and three London Marathon’s, collectively raising nearly £10,000 for Cancer Charities in the process.
Like a couple of our other members of staff her baking skills are excellent, and she regularly makes all manner of goodies and stunning birthday cakes for staff birthdays.
Ben joined Cooper Brouard in 2016 from a background in retail and education. He has quickly become a key member of the team and his love of property is evident in his enthusiastic work ethic and keenness to close a sale. Having recently become a homeowner himself, Ben can fully appreciate the challenges faced by many of our buyers
A keen sportsman he attends the gym bright and early in the morning and has represented the Island in both cricket and hockey, and still plays now for recreation.
Liz Joined the Local Market team in 2019 having built up a wealth of property experience working for 8 years as a conveyancing clerk in one of Guernsey’s leading law firms.
Liz’s sunny disposition and easy manner have already made her a popular member of the Cooper Brouard team and her knowledge of the selling process and technical know-how have proved invaluable to both vendors and buyers.
Liz enjoys cycling, horse-riding, walking the dog, a cup of tea and a good book.
Heather joined Cooper Brouard in 2012 having gained extensive experience in customer facing roles in the local recruitment and travel industries. She now brings a calm, methodical and enthusiastic approach to the smooth running of the Residential Lettings & Management department.
Away from the office she and her husband Matthew are hard at work restoring their traditional St Peter’s home and like to spend time in the garden and travelling.
Alasdair joined Cooper Brouard in 2018 having gaining an honours degree in Education from the University of Brighton and working in Customer Services locally, advancing from agent to supervising manager.
Growing up, Alasdair’s Father ran his own estate agency so he knew what to expect and has taken to his new role in Lettings and Management like a duck to water – which is no surprise as he’s also he’s a keen sailor, windsurfer, and also loves to ski.
Charlie joined us in 2001 having worked in the estate agency business since leaving school.
Charlie together with Emma runs our busy reception and also handles the co-ordination of our advertising amongst her many other tasks.
Charlie is married to Karl, a local goldsmith, they have two sons Koen and Brandon along with a Springer Spaniel called Bracken making home life fun and vibrant. Charlie loves staying fit; attending the gym and long distance running.
Her calm disposition and helpfulness is apparent to all those she comes into contact with which makes her a cheery first point of contact.
Emma joined Cooper Brouard in 2006 and works alongside Charlie in reception, meeting and greeting all our visitors with a cheery smile.
Emma married Steve in 2014 making everything from the table decorations to the bridesmaid dresses, always on the look-out for a new creative project her latest ventures include homemade cheese and brewing cider.
She is a very helpful and willing member of the team preparing marketing information with her cutting-edge knowledge of Photoshop and treating each property with the care and attention to detail as if it were her own home.
